The Straight Edge Society Unmasked

At Over the Limit, it was Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk in an S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair Match. After defeating Punk, Mysterio took a clipper to Punk’s locks. Handcuffed to the ropes, there was no escape for Punk. The leader of The Straight Edge Society was humiliated. Mysterio endured months of taunting before his triumph over Punk. The win was a cathartic experience for Mysterio. Ashamed of his new look, Punk hid under a towel. For months, Punk took to wearing a mask to conceal his bald head. But on the July 16 episode of SmackDown, his face would finally be revealed. To Punk’s horror, he was unmasked by Big Show. The WWE Universe got its first look at Punk’s face since Over the Limit. Big Show delighted in Punk’s misery. With the mask off, Punk forges onward with his S.E.S. army.
