CM Punk def. R-Truth
One week after a fast count by aggravated WWE official Scott Armstrong cost CM Punk his match against R-Truth, The Straightedge Superstar overcame the rapping Superstar with a little help from his surroundings. As R-Truth was escaping the GTS and attempting a counter pinfall, The Second City Saint suddenly dropped down upon him, clutching the ropes to secure his three-count, just outside the official’s view.

R-Truth def. CM Punk
The frustration within ex-champion CM Punk continued to grow when The Straightedge Superstar was defeated by R-Truth. While Punk continued to make demands of Armstrong, Truth capitalized by throwing Punk to the canvas. With Punk down, Armstrong did what he was asked to do and pounded out a fast three-count giving Truth the win

CM Punk def. Scott Armstrong
One week after losing the World Heavyweight Championship Submission Match to The Demon of Death Valley, The Straightedge Superstar was given a match against official Scott Armstrong by Mr. McMahon himself. Though Armstrong refused to go down easy, hitting Punk with some good punches, in the end, The Second City Saint made quick work of his outmatched opponent with the GTS.

The Undertaker def. CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and Batista
At WWE Bragging Rights, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker emerged from the fast-paced fury of a championship Fatal Four Way with the gold, reigning supreme over three former World Champions – Batista, Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. But, in a match where every Superstar was in it for himself, it was the unsuspected bite of an infuriated Animal that left the WWE Universe absolutely awestruck.
From the opening bell, the unpredictable mayhem of the Fatal Four Way threw the WWE Universe into an absolute frenzy. And after the changing tide of furious bedlam hurled the advantage back and forth from one Superstar to another like a tornado, it was Batista that looked to emerge from the storm with a victory over The Deadman. But, in the true spirit of the free-for-all match, the highly-competitive Rey Mysterio powered back into action, ultimately preventing his comrade-in-arms from triumphing in the last second. Later, just moments after Batista threw Mysterio out of the ring and onto CM Punk, The Undertaker took his golden opportunity, hitting The Animal with the dreaded Tombstone for the victory.

Rey Mysterio def. Batista
In Friday night’s main event, longtime friends and WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way contestants Rey Mysterio and Batista were forced to go one-on-one. After a competitive battle, Mysterio pulled off the win, pinning The Animal. Although there was some question regarding whether or not one of Batista’s shoulders had been fully on the canvas, the ref’s call stood. After Batista conceded the win to his friend and exited the ring, CM Punk rushed out of the crowd and into the ring, dropping Mysterio with the Go to Sleep. The Animal came charging back to drive Punk off. All three will meet again when they face The Deadman at WWE Bragging Rights.
CM Punk to face World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker for his title on SmackDown!
Although CM Punk couldn’t get Mr. McMahon to call off the WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way Match, The Straightedge Superstar did receive a title match with World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker next Friday on SmackDown! Plus, the encounter will be contested in exactly the way Punk wants – a Submission Match. And just like at WWE Breaking Point, Scott Armstrong will be the referee, with SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long at ringside. Will the WWE Universe again bear witness to a sordid conspiracy against The Phenom?
The Undertaker’s message
As next Friday’s Submission Match on SmackDown and the WWE Bragging Rights Fatal-4-Way World Heavyweight Championship approach, The Undertaker offered some foreboding words for not only CM Punk, but also Scott Armstrong and Theodore Long. "Once you enter Hell’s Gate, there’s no turning back," he warned.

CM Punk def. Intercontinental Champion John Morrison by Disqualification
While sitting ringside with Todd Grisham during the main event of “WWE Superstars,” United States Champion The Miz took the time to scout his former tag team partner and opponent at WWE Bragging Rights, Intercontinental Champion John Morrison. It wouldn’t be long, however, before the arrogant Superstar would interfere. With Morrison seemingly about to deliver some Starship Pain on CM Punk, The Miz stormed into the ring and intentionally attacked The Straightedge Superstar to disqualify The Guru of Greatness.

CM Punk d. Batista (count-out)
Bitter about losing the World Heavyweight Championship to The Undertaker, CM Punk was disgusted to not hear SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long announce an automatic title rematch. It appeared, however, The Straightedge Superstar would get his wish when Mr. McMahon arrived. Not exactly.
After expressing some displeasure with Teddy Long that seemed to suggest his opinion that the GM is continuing to provoke the World Heavyweight Champ, the WWE Chairman told Punk he will have the opportunity to reclaim the gold at WWE Bragging Rights. But, “The Second City Saint” won’t be the only one to have a chance. Mr. McMahon introduced a Fatal-4-Way Match for the title that will require The Deadman to defend his championship against Punk, Rey Mysterio and Batista.
The night didn’t get any easier for Punk as he had to deal with The Animal in the main event. Despite outsmarting Batista to win by count-out, the former three-time World Heavyweight Champion couldn’t escape a bone-crushing Batista Bomb after the match had ended. Was this a sign of things to come for Punk? Or will he be the one celebrating with the title at WWE Bragging Rights?

The Undertaker def. CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell Match (New World Heavyweight Champion)
NEWARK, N.J. – Out of the ominous fury of the Devil’s Playground, destiny struck with a vengeance. After colliding with World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk in the demented Hell in a Cell structure at the pay-per-view of the same name, The Undertaker emerged victorious, claiming his seventh World Championship amid a grueling mixture of aggression, mayhem and unforgiving steel.
Hell in a Cell has often been regarded by many in the WWE Universe as The Deadman’s personal realm of horror. And in an epic battle of mutual mass destruction, the legendary Superstar ultimately reigned supreme, unleashing his wrath of darkness upon the war torn Punk. From the opening bell, the entire Prudential Center was glued the edge of their seats as each moment of the monumental clash proved more intense than the brutality that had come before it. Then, just when it looked like neither warrior could take anymore, The Straightedge Champion’s optimistic hopes of triumph quickly turned to nightmares as The Phenom suddenly blasted him with an earth shattering Tombstone, puttin the final nail in the coffin of Punk’s reign. For the first time, The World Heavyweight Championship has changed hands inside the Cell. It’s only fitting that such a precedent would be set by The Demon of Death Valley and most devastating weapon.
Just weeks earlier at WWE Breaking Point, the two Superstars stood at the center of one of the most shocking controversies in the history of the World Title. Just when it looked like The Undertaker had dethroned CM Punk by utilizing the much-feared submission maneuver Hell’s Gate, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long came forth to instruct referee Scott Armstrong to restart the match, calling the hold illegal. Punk soon locked The Undertaker in the Anaconda Vise. Although The Phenom clearly did not tap out, Armstrong quickly called for the bell, signaling Undertaker had indeed submitted. The decision stunned not only The Deadman, but sent shockwaves through the entire WWE.
