WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler confident in perfecting his craft
By Jim Varsallone | 01 Dec 11

Ziggler, 31, is not only the U.S. champ in WWE but someone who can work with top talent. The past two weeks on Monday Night Raw (WWE’s top TV show) spotlighted him in the ring with WWE champ CM Punk (Nov. 21) and former world champ Randy Orton (Nov. 28), WWE A-listers.

Battling for top tier status, Ziggler discussed his Raw match with Punk, since the interview was before his Raw match with Orton.

“A lot of people enjoyed the match, and my family and friends liked it,” Ziggler said. “Honestly, since last Monday, I haven’t been able to sleep that well, because I really wanted that match to be one of the best ever, and it wasn’t. So I have something to build toward, and hopefully we’ll get to do it on a big stage, and if we do, I know we will tear the house down. I know it.”

@CMPunk is WWE’s hottest performer at the moment and connects better than anyone I’ve seen in a while with the fans. I’ve seen average in ring talents that were able to connect with the paying customers earn big money and Punk is no average, in ring talent.

Steve Austin Interview
by Phil Allely | TWP Issue 20

In an exclusive interview with TWP’s Phil Allely, WWE legend turned hugely successful actor ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin promoted his acting career and stated that if he did have one more match the WWE’s CM Punk would be his chosen opponent.

Still on very good terms with the WWE Austin has been the face of the recently revamped Tough Enough series and stepped back into the ring to referee a match at this year’s Wrestlemania. He is also the man at the centre of an interesting semi-shoot storyline where CM Punk and himself are battling on Twitter in relation to a proposed feud.

So Steve whilst we have seen twitter remarks and other mentions of him, we’ve not actually heard you comment on CM Punk, what do you really think about him?

“Aw hell I think Punk is a great guy, I’d say he looks up to me for what I did in the ring back in the day. I now look up to him for what he is doing now. I’d say it’s a case of mutual respect now. So yeah I hear the stories, if the stars aligned and all things worked out to benefit us all (The WWE, myself and Punk) I’d say that he is the guy I’d pick to face. I could get another match out of this carcass of mine sure.”

WWE Champion CM Punk def. Alberto Del Rio

The Mexican Aristocrat didn’t think CM Punk was going to go down that easy, did he? Barely one week into his reign as WWE Champion, The Straight Edge Superstar defended his title in a bout where he would have lost the championship had he been disqualified. Attempting to take advantage of this stipulation, Del Rio removed a turnbuckle pad and brought a steel chair into the ring. But the WWE Champion had his opponent scouted and tossed the foreign object before sending the underhanded Superstar headfirst into the exposed turnbuckle for the cunning win.
