In the words of Mr. McMahon, "It’s time to shake things up again."
The 2010 WWE Draft, airing live from Richmond, Va., April 26 on a special three-hour edition of Monday Night Raw (8/7 CT, USA Network), will be the seventh consecutive yearly draft (and eighth overall) of Superstars and Divas that WWE has held. And for the first time in four years, it’ll be solely Raw vs. SmackDown fighting it out for the cherished, and sometimes chaos-causing, draft picks.
April 26 is sure to bring with it drastic line-up shifts and shake-ups to the entire roster. But big change is nothing new for the WWE Draft. To illustrate that, WWE.com has assembled some of the biggest moments from the Draft’s history, to get you ready for the big night.
You can discuss your favorite Draft moments in history in the Draft Forum on WWEUniverse.com. You can also see many Draft day moments and full Draft episode of Raw on WWEClassics.com.

Bank on it: Punk’s Draft Moves Golden (2008 & 2009)
In the history of the WWE Draft, perhaps no one has benefited more from the randomness of the selection process than CM Punk. The Straight Edge Superstar came into the 2008 and 2009 editions of the WWE Draft as the WrestleMania Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner, possessing the cherished briefcase containing a championship contract to be used any time, any place, over the next year. Punk was drafted June 23, 2008, from ECW to Raw. One week later, he cashed in his contract his first night on Raw on an wounded Edge to steal the World Heavyweight Championship. In the 2009 Draft, “Mr. Money in the Bank” was shipped to SmackDown, and Punk cashed in the briefcase to defeat an exhausted and battered Jeff Hardy at Extreme Rules to once again capture the World Heavyweight Title.

TAX INQUIRY 7
Is CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society a nonprofit organization?

The Accountant Says “For the SES to become an official nonprofit, Punk needs to apply for 501(c3) exempt status and be approved by the government. It’s not easy, but once accepted, his group would be exempt from income and sales taxes, which means they would save money on things like hair trimmers and wrist tape. In the meantime, Punk can take solace in knowing that he won’t have to pay any taxes on tobacco or alcohol, which are substantial in some states.”

STRAIGHT EDGE SOCIETY: CM PUNK, LUKE GALLOWS & SERENA
Last Week: 15
This Week: 15
This twisted trio decided to pick a fight with Rey Mysterio and has been paying for it ever since.
Extreme Rules Match Preview

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk (If Punk is defeated, he loses his hair)
Amid the uncontrollable fury of Extreme Rules, Rey Mysterio will face CM Punk in a WrestleMania rematch. And if The Second City Saint comes up short this time, he will have to cut his hair.
On The Grandest Stage of Them All, The Master of the 619 triumphed over his idealistic adversary, defending his family’s honor while preventing his forced induction into The Straight Edge Society.
Punk returned to SmackDown five days later, continuing his obsessive attempts to “save” the masked Superstar. Insisting that Mysterio’s conversion would serve as the ultimate example that Straight Edge can save anyone, Punk proclaimed that if he was granted a rematch, he would put the “toxin-free” symbol of his Straight Edge leadership – his hair – on the line.
Riding the momentum from his monumental victory over his would-be savior at The Show of Shows, Mysterio accepted Punk’s challenge one week later, vowing to take his hair and to put an end to The Straight Edge Society.
Will The Straight Edge “savior” lose his locks? Find out at Extreme Rules, live Sunday, April 25, only on pay-per-view.

After clearing the ring of The Straight Edge Society, Mysterio passionately accepted Punk’s challenge to a match at Extreme Rules – also vowing to shave Punk’s head and put an end to The Straight Edge Society!

NXT Rookie Darren Young was interviewed by WWE.com. Young’s Pro, CM Punk, was mentioned a few times.
WWE.com: You’ve had a few days to think about the results of the Pros’ Poll. What are your thoughts now about ranking 8th?
YOUNG: When I was out there in front of the WWE Universe, I was quite surprised when I was ranked No. 8 out of all the Rookies. All of the other Rookies, along with me, are talented. But I hope the WWE Universe realizes my situation, that I haven’t been myself lately. I’m kind of torn between wanting to be saved by Punk and just doing my own thing, being the South Beach party boy. Which will get me to the top? I was shocked, though, when I found out I was No. 8 among the Pros.
WWE.com: How do you plan to prove to the WWE Pros that you should move up in the Rookie rankings?
YOUNG: I think it’s about time for just myself – Darren Young – to create my own buzz, you know, so in the next few weeks, who knows what’s going to happen? It’s up in the air.
I’ve talked to other WWE Pros, just to get their opinion on the entire situation. They pretty much say that the decision is up to me, that if I want to succeed and be a WWE Superstar, I might have to turn Straight Edge. But a part of me wants to do my own thing. I might just have to learn the hard way. That may mean not turning Straight Edge, continuing to party, promoting parties, and eventually entertaining the WWE Universe my own way.
Right now I’m limited. I haven’t been able to really get in front of the WWE Universe and do my own thing. Because my mentor is Punk, and I come out to his music, the Darren Young energy isn’t really there.
